Valle de Uco
DESCRIPTION
- We will start the circuit in Los Cerrilos Route; it is going to take us to the heart of Tupungato and the most important productive area in the province: the Uco Valley. There we´ll find a large quantity of fruit plantations and vineyards that give rise to the most famous altitude wines and production.
- Our first stop will be in a Monument called “Cristo Rey del Valle de Tupungato”, we´ll enjoy an image of a Christ of 28 meters height. The monument is looking forwards to the Valley with open arms and offering an extraordinary view to the Andes Range.
- We ´ll visit the Monument of “Manzano Histórico”, a San Martin monument that remembers the presence of the procer in these lands in 1823. In the area is also an important fish station of the Dirección de Recursos Naturales Renovables, that serves to provide salmonids to the main streams of the province, and we can also see some species like condor, Mora eagle, guanacos and grey and red foxes. Finally, we´ll have lunch in a traditional restaurant of the area, so then we can come back to the city.
